This week is the hiking. Avondvierdaagse (hike 4 evenings) date of the second world war. It began in the Gooi (region near Hilversum). Now the 200 communes organized from May to June (although most often it is in June). Since Maxim is in group 3 (equivalent CP) participate enthusiastically in this event. He started by walking 5 km per night. This year he must walk 10. And for a 9 year old boy that means a lot. More after school, he still plays football. In the morning we can see that awakening is difficult. Over 10 km seem longer on weekends.
Thursday evening, the last evening, the arrival is in marching band and majorettes and more. The audience, made up of families and friends of participants, offer sweets and flowers to the happy walkers. In addition they will be again a medal offered by the federation of trekkers. This is of course the ultimate reward for children who show off their well-deserved medal.
